My First Story is Complete!

I finished formatting my first story last night. There are a couple of errors I noticed during the process, so I'm going to give it one last work-through tonight before I publish.

Today I'm going to work on figuring out how to may a separate page on this blog for the story info. I had planned on doing that for each story, but that may not be practical. We will see - this blog is a work in progress after all.

I also wanted to post a little bit about my goals, and this is my blog so there's nothing you can do to stop me. This first story came in at around 6,400 words. My output varies a lot because I have a day job, but in general I can write somewhere between 750 - 1,500 words per day. This is not a lot, but it's all I can squeeze out of the small amount of time I have set aside for my writing.

That being said, this means that I can produce only one short story per week, perhaps two if I can get a lot of writing done on the weekend. I'm going to shoot for two per week, and thus I am setting a goal of 100 stories in my first year.

Too lofty of a goal? We shall see.
